We think ’juicy’ gets over used out there but this baby is just that. Jam packed with mango, apricot and orange
from the giant dryhopping with Citra hops.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/28/2019. Pours slightly hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink for the ABV; with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Great Citra profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balancing dark/bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering crisp resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on Midwest style example.

From tap at the brewery. Clear dark amber color with off white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, caramel, bread, light citrus. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Can. Pours a coppery color with a thin head. Aromas of caramel malts which make me sad and thinking this is another malt heavy DIPA... bane of my existence. Flavor is good though. It’s malty but solid. Nothing really special. Kind of a herbal and slightly resinous hops presence that is best described as a tingle. But I like it.

On tap at Haymarket Chicago. Clear deep amber colour lasting beige head. Big hops no doubt. Juicy. Some grapefruit pink. Some toffee but actually it's quite light and agile. I kind of liked it. Light hop and light bitterness on the finish . Some deep sweet orange flavour. Nice enough.

On tap at the pub in Chicago. Pours a deep orange-copper with low white head. Moderate hop flavor and slightly heavy on the retained sugars. [Insert my normal comment that I just don’t love Citra here]. Drank this with a long-time family friend whose last name is "Mathias"....so that adds even more points than a beer calling itself "hazy". : )

Tap at the brewpub, December 2015. A balanced double ipa, in which neither the sweetness of the malt nor the hops seem more prominent. Hazy, copper color. Big american hop aroma,Some hay and grass. Some flavor of alcohol is noticeable, it is bitter with hops but there is a lot of sweet malt as well.
