Pooltime Ale is a refreshing Belgian-inspired Wheat Ale with light clove notes. The truly distinguishing feature is the use of 100% Montmorency tart cherries grown in the Traverse City region of Michigan. These cherries add a subtle tartness and bright counterpoint to the other flavors, enhancing Pooltime’s fruity character and making it the perfect beer for all summer activities.

Can. Gold in Color. That aroma is grains with just light fruit. Taste had more fruit in it.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from The Beer Store, Nashua. Appearance is cloudy/murky mix of dark brown and red with mild sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is wheat, yeast and tart cherry. Taste is wheat, coriander, clove, hint of tart cherry. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, refreshing and tasty though thick texture makes it almost like a fruit smoothie--perhaps a little heavy for lounging by the pool. A minor quibble to be sure, and more with the name than with the beer. I liked it..

The Aromas are wheat beer with a slight hint of fruit, maybe cherries. Flavors are like nose more sweet than tart with some definite metallic in there. And I guess cherries. Okay body and finish.

Can. Cloudy dark bronze, off-white head. Aroma of wheat, grains, spice, bit of tart cherry. Taste follows nose. Finish has traces of wet dog, presumably from the pool. Not that great.

From tap. Hazy blood orange color with white head. Malty aroma, sweet fruity, sugary, some light spicy herbal notes, grainy. Sweet taste like aroma. Light oily body with soft carbonation
