Bottle, thanks to Vin! Pours slightly hazy amber, small off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly, some lacing. Aroma is oak, sherry notes, light funk. Flavor is medium tart, light funk. Medium body.

Crooked Stave Cerveza Sin Frontera 5.7% A collaboration with Trois Dame and Jester King where they each brewed the same beer and aged them in the same kind of Sherry barrels. Brewed in Dec. 2014 so 3 years old, this smells like a sublime Oud Bruin with the acetic berry aroma merging with the Sherry seamlessly. The medium body is tart, sweet, acidic with mild berry and Sherry notes also tobacco and leather a bit in the aftertaste... A lovely sour... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber and bright with a bubbly head. Aroma has sticky sherryish sugars, with a touch of bugs. Sweet - the sherry is all over this one, giving it a very different character. The malt is restrained.

On tap at The Source. Pours a clear copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is sherry, wood, funk. Thin mouth, tart, nice booze from the sherry, funky, very good.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly malty with some toasted bread and caramel. Medium light acidity with some moderate notes of berries and cherries. Light oak presence with some light citrus. Pours a cloudy brown with a burnt amber hue and a small, moderately thick, gan head that recedes somewhat quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with a bit of a lemon character. Medium light malt notes of toasted bread and caramel. Medium light fruit notes of berries and cherries. Medium light oak and light vinous notes. Light tannins with meidum bitterness. A little more fruit as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied and slightly watery with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a better beer than the Trois Dames version, but I think Trois Dames had a much better aroma and could have been more interesting. This reminds me a lot of a Flanders style sour with the fruit character and malt notes.

375mL bottle, pours an opaque amber orangey brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out tart red fruits and some acetone. Flavour is really poor, with lots of acetone / nail polish remover, tart fruits and malt vinegar. Lacking any complexity at all. Man, this is way off. A surprising let-down from these three breweries.

Sample at the Inventory Reduction Beer Tasting on 08/08/2015. Pours a clear ruddy orange color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky fruit, yeast and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of funky apricots and peaches, oak, malt and yeast. The finish is tart and woody with a fruity aftertaste. Pretty enjoyable beer all around.

Draught @ Mikropolis, Vendersgade 22, DK-1363 Copenhagen, Denmark. [ As Crooked Stave / Trois Dames / Jester King Cerveza Sin Frontera ].Almost clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, dough, barnyard, grapes, pineapple. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light acidic with a long duration, tart, dough, grape, wood - oak. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. For me the best of the three .. [20150430]
