Torrential is what we want in a double IPA. It's big, dry, hugely aromatic, bursting with tropical and fruity hop flavors, and terrifyingly drinkable. A mix of our 2-row base malt and a specialty French base malt gives the beer a small amount of malt character without adding any sweetness or coming off as anything other than a very west coast style double IPA. The hops we chose to throw in the mix are a simple blend of our favorite hops that each on its own is hugely dominant in character, but blended together they produce a beautiful marriage of mango, melon, grapefruit, papaya, orange, and jack fruit.

On tap at brewery pours out a golden topped with white head. Nose is great pine citrus and a nice malt. Taste is more of the pine citrus and a great fruit caramel sweetness.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear gold with a creamy topping. The nose has ripe citrus, some pine, tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with rich pine, tangerine, orange, pale bread. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Resinous finish, vibrant citrus, oily pine, mango, moderate bready sweetness. Solid.

The beers first review!! On tap at Gourmet Haus in Redwood City. Pronounced citrus with solid doughy bread in support. Pours a hazy orange with moderate white head that lingered well. Taste is juicy orange and with moderate tropical tastes as well. Moderate low bitterness for style leads to an easy drinking beer that belies its ABV as the alcohol is masked well.
