0.33 l bottle from 'Hopfenrausch', best before June 2019. If you can't make it to Cologne Craft Beer Festival 😧 ... Hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, fairly fruity, slightly grassy and a little Braustelle trademark bretty aroma of lemon, gooseberry, orange and traces of manure. Just slightly sweet, fairly dry, moderately bitter, quite fruity and slightly grassy taste of lemon, gooseberry, pineapple and some cat piss, followed by a short, gently bitter, fairly dry and slightly grassy finish. Thin to medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Decent Pale Ale, unfortunately over-carbonated.

On tap at the Braustelle. Extremely muddy cloudy beer. Round and fresh, lots of yeast, spices. Fresh muddy with earthy malts and a sticky aftertaste. Not much fruit or floral aroma there.

0,33 bottle, courtesy of Kolschtrinker. Many thanks. Super cloudy dark golden color, tick and persistent white cap. Nose: a bit citric, light sourness (!), ripped grape, some herbs. Mouth: lack of character, crispy malts, the bitterness is not that pleasant. Not terrific, not bad. Limbo beer!

Tap and 330ml bottle. Murky, dark golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, a grassy and piney touch, some pineapple and lemon. Taste is grassy, piney and slightly citrusy hoppy, moderately bitter, earthy grassy; late some pineapple, herbal spiciness and pale malty sweetness. Irresolute approach to the style, citrusy flavours are stuck in earthy grassiness; drinking CPA is like adjusting a TV set antenna - just as you finally find interference-free reception the broadcast has finished.
