Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth Pre-GBBF 2017 tasting - London. Cheers! Pours oily black-brown with a creamy, khaki head. Medium to big sweet, with some oily and rich chocolate character, well roasted malts, coconut. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more dense chocolate, ash, coconut, raisins, mild earthy bitterness. Big overall chocolate and dark fruits. Delicious. Great.

Taste is chocolatey, roasty, bitter and slightly acidic coffee, coconut, coffee, dark fruits, caramel, vanilla, malty finish. Agreeably not as good as Snowed In but super delicious.

650ml bottle. Heavy with coconut, roasty malts, vanilla, syrup, oak and bourbon. Loads of coconut, but not as heavy with pastry notes as some other recent coconut stouts I've tried. Quite balanced.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate notes with some residual sugar notes and some bourbon notes are also perceptible. Taste is a mix of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes, light vanilla with some residual sugar notes. Body is full with nice oily texture with some creamy notes, good carbonation and no real alcohol is perceptible. Greta porter with nice depth and complexity, good drinkability with just the right amount of residual sugar notes.
