25 cl bottle served in a large snifter. A dark amber, almost pale brown pour, slightly cloudy, with nice greenish highlights. Tan head disappears in the blink of an eye. Aroma is very sweet: molasses, candied apple, cinnamon, strawberry lollipop, sugar-coated oranges, black tea, rye bread. Low carbo, boozy, chewy. Rather sweet, nice acidity, very little bitterness. Long-lasting finish with tinges of orange and brown sugar. It's actually better than what I expected from the few previous reviews, I must say.

Pours darker amber, no sign of foam nor carbonation. Scent is mildly oxidized, syrupy, barley juice. Tad sharp ( metallic?) taste is relatively mild. Has traces of bitterness, but is mostly sweet. Not giving away its very high abv. Syrupy body, mild carbonation. Barley, yet à tad sharp. Not convinced on the metallic, but it heads towards that aspect for sure. Not great, but I've had far worse. At least not nearly the alcoholic bomb I feared. Just a bit pointless given its low taste intensity, to drink this kind of abv monster. Especially since the taste itself ain't all that great.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

bottle bought at beer bar oasis, las palmas, gran canaria. hazy orange, small white head. strong dried dark fruits aroma, also malts, and some smoked malts. thick aroma, does not apper as boozy as a feared, in fact, it\s like any other potent barley wine. Flavor is dark fruity, flowery fruity, toffee, caramel, malts, the kind of herbs you might find in gin, flavor is in balance, the alcohol does not seem to be in the way. A very well done eisbock.

Almost no head; faintly hazy foxy-amber beer. Alcohol, succade, orange, vanilla, benzene, dried apple, slight toasted malts. Alcohol, fusels, caramelsyrup, maple syrup; again preserved orange, dried fruit, Mandarine Napoléon ; sweet & fruity. Hint at incense, grape juice. Very syrupy MF, bit burning, alcoholheat (though pretty hidden for 18+% ABV) Powerful, sweet but not cloying. However, it surely would benefit from a bit more complexity. Dangerously drinkable, in the mean time!!

Gylden brun noe tåkete med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter rognebær, alkohol, brent malt, krydder og rosiner. Søt start, bitterhet og alkohol overtar før sødmen kommer tilbake mot slutten. Trevirke, brent karamell, vanilje, svisker og alkohol.
