A dark reddish brown stout with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, loads of raspberry jam, light vanilla, light powdery chocolate, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of raspberry jam, light acidity, light vanilla, light powdery character, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Arrow and Loon.

75 cl bottle @ ISKTR ’16
My 8000th rating! Thanks for the whole ISKTR crew!
Amber coloured stout? What is this? Aroma is strong with raspberry candy and some baking stuff. Also cocoa and chocolate. Flavour has interesting spicy tones. More of a fruit beer than a stout. But certainly one of the best fruit beers I’ve had. Sweet, yet pleasantly balanced.

750ml bottle @ ISKTR. Pours dark reddish brown with a smooth head. Aroma of raspberries, mild tartness, hints of chocolate and vanilla. Taste is sweetish, malty and slightly earthy with some raspberries and chocolate. Finish is sweet, earthy and sugary with some raspberries and chocolate notes. A bit weird.

750 ml bottle into snifter; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy dark ruby red/brown color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of juicy/lightly tart raspberries; with milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, plum, light nuttiness/coffee, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, cocoa/raspberry, and light fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of juicy/lightly tart raspberries; with milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, plum, light nuttiness/coffee, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/roast bitterness and slight fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of raspberry, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, plum, light nuttiness/coffee, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, cocoa/raspberry, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness/carbonation as well. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly acidic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a great fruited brown porter style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, cocoa/raspberry, and light fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
