Hazy copper and light bronze body with tints of orange, all with a very thick and soapy six centimetre tall off-white head that leaves a very ugly lace. Aroma of yeast, bread, grassy and slightly herbal hops with a good deal of malt as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a large yeast presence, some sweetness from tropical fruit and also a good bitterness from the hops. Aftertaste shows mostly yeast and hop flavours with a big citrus note at the very end. Overall, a nice IPA with a large yeast flavour and a nice look, but not the complexity or sheer hoppiness of a West Coast IPA, but interestingly enough, this is what I do expect from a Quebecois IPA! I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased from Les Marche Des Sauveurs du Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 14-February-2016 for CA$2,75 sampled at home in Washington on 13-April-2016.

341ml bottle from Saveur-Biere. Pours clear golden with a massive foamy head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grass, pine, lemon and zesty grapefruit. Taste is sweetish, stingy hoppy and citrusy with hints of tropical notes and zesty lime. Finish is stingy hoppy and biscuity malty with hints of tropical fruits, lime and pineapple. Interesting hop profile here.

Pours dark deep amber with huge rocky white head. Aroma is intense mango, passionfruit, citrus and herbs. Mouth is dry, powerful and very bitter. Long finish. A canonical American IPA.

Caña en el Lupulo 11..03..2016. (r22).

Excellente IPA.
