The color is blond-golden. The aroma is really anonymous, while the flavor at least is a bit malty and sweet, but there is also a trace of alcohol. Ordinary bitterness. Quite boring.

Bottle 33cl. @ home w. swing top.Unclear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy earth, wet wood, something is wrong here - have to re. taste this beer when possible. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091026]

33cl swing top bottle; Slightly unclear, golden colour with a slightly off-white short foamy head. Sweet and slightly bready cara-malty nose. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid bready malty taste with delicate notes of caramel and shy herbal spice; medium-dry, malt-accented finish with a touch of warming alcoholic notes. Flavourful Maibock. 16.XI.08

Bottled at the brewpub. Hazy deep golden, firm creamy head. Buttery nose. Sweet with medium to full body and soft, cottony mouthfeel,. Butte mixes with fruit brandy. Warming finish withfairly low bitterness. Another pleasant beer from a surprisingly diverse German brewpub.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong, spicy, good use of hops. A little bit alcoholic, but not too much. Well balanced finish. Good Maibock!
