Imperial Stout. Tiefschwarz. Dicht, ölig. Brauner, schöner Schaum. Sehr intensive Nase nach Röstaromen, reifen Waldbeeren - begleitet von einem frischen Hopfenhauch (Saphir!). Herrliche Fülle am Gaumen, macht dort ordentlich Druck. Sehr langer Nachtrunk, die vielschichtigen Hopfenöle massieren sich in die Zunge, geben sie nicht so schnell frei. Zartbitter und himmlisch.

Tap at taphouse. Black, creamy dark brown head. Roast, cocoa nib, rum barrel, dark sugar nose. Sticky full body, butter caramel, cocoa, coffee, pepper finish. Lovely flavors, but very much a sipping beer.

Mar ’15. On tap at Hopfenreich, Berlin. It poured pitch black body with a smaller, brown head. Alcohol, chicory, light coffee, tart black wine aroma. Mildly sweet flavor, chocolate, caramel, plain sugar, lots of dark fruits, a bit herbal, especially towards the end. Relatively full bodied and complex although not extremely so for the style. Long and pleasant rounded dark malty and now bitter herbal/grass hop finish. A pleasant IS for sure, with well hidden alcohol except the nose. Unlike the previous two taps this was luckily in the good shape!

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter ojk roasted flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle. An imperial stout on the roasty and bitter side. Sometimes it feels a little watery, but not much - Anyway, that shouldn’t happen with 9.1% ABV.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark brown with good tan head. Aroma: black currant, prunes, caramel and roasted malt, a little smoke and wood. Taste: berries, wine, caramel and prunes, a bit watery and lack of body, warming.

At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly brown head, opaque black color, aroma of wood with light charred notes, flavor of sweet chocolate, with soy and toasted bread, quite strong bitterness, becomes mellower as it warms up. A bit too sweet but still nice.

330ml bottle. Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, coffee. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle for 1,79€ from Rudat. Intense malty, burned sugar, caramel. Very dry for this high ABV. Smooth, caramel. dark roasted malt, dry brown sugar with burned hints. Sticky-oily aftertaste, intense malty, full bodied, still smooth. The alcohol is not tasteable!
