sweet smell an old aroma of stronger aged pale lager. Slightly darker than pale lager. Sure does have initial feelings of taste bud bear beer from denmark. Sizzley mild CO2. Yep ’seasoned lager’ - expected more from a heiny brand. Barely enjoyable lingering old beer finish.

Amber with white head - Aroma of sweet caramel malt - taste is some malt with to much caramel and sugar, low bitterness - ok , but a little bit to sweet

Bottled@The 1st Vaasa CS/ES beer session (thanks SV!). Pale goldeny amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some slight wooden notes, barnyard as well as mild notes of herbs. Flavour is caramel malts, some slight earthy notes, mild nuts as well as some wooden notes. Not a winner, but not a total loser either.

Aroma of barley and alcohol, slight grassy hints. Decent looking drink, nice brown colour, plenty of head. Taste is slightly fruity, cherries mixed with chocolate and coffee, sweet finish.

Initial mild sweetness makes way for some dry, crackery malts, a touch of toasted bread - some sweetness returns, followed shortly by a mild, buttery, diacetyl flavor - a sort of artificial, almost metallic character on the back end - I don’t know why the hell I bought this.

Cidery nose. Clear amber, medium yellow head, nice lacing. Weak malt then cider at midpalate. Stale malt finish. Drinks like snakebite in a bottle. Adulterated, but different.

bottle, pours light carmel with a thin off white head. Aroma is light and nutty. Flavor is pear and apple with sour metallic notes. Not good at all.

Location: 22 oz bottle at some Vietnamese restaurant, 11/19/09

Overall Impression: This was an alright amber beer, it was the only thing on the menu that wasn't a pale lager, and I really wasn't feeling a pale lager at all, but I was really in the mood for a beer, and this did the trick. It was great, but at least it had something going on. A little color to it, and a little flavor, if not much else...

Aroma is grassy hops, and bready malts. Large, rocky, white head with a clear, light amberbody. Taste was of watery malts, hoppy on the finish. Dry mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation combonation. Would not recomend.

bottle - Pours clear amber with a one finger head. It smells and tastes mainly of sweet caramel malt. It’s smooth, finishes clean, and is a bit lacking overall.
