Bottle, 0.50l. Clear golden color with thick soapy white head, nice lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of honey, grass, vanilla and dried fruit. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy, follows grassy, bready and yeasty, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is medium bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. In fact more than expected and quite drinkable...

Bottle at home. Pours clear, golden colour with a small, white head. Aroma is malt and light grass, but not in the spectacular way. Grainy and slightly sweet with a light grassy taste. Easy drinkable.

Das Waldviertel ist eine Gegend Österreichs, welche chronisch strukturschwach ist. Im Zentrum davon liegt die Stadt Zwettl. Die dortige Brauerei hat es aber geschafft zu einem österreichweit agierenden Player zu werden. Auch in Wien bekommt man das Bier immer öfter von Fass. Es ist für ein österreichisches Märzen recht herb, was auch dem Naturell der dortigen Menschen entspricht. Es ist aber massentauglich und passt gut zum Essen dazu.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, getreidig, leicht herb. Geschmack getreidig malzig, minimal bitter.
