Höchlich erfrischend, der Antrunk mit den ganz feinen Perlen. Wir haben ein sanftes und dennoch quicklebendiges Pils im Glas. Pure Harmonie am Gaumen. Der sehr lange Nachtrunk endet mit einem feinbitteren Akkord. (Kein Wunder, denn der stammt vom wertvollen Tettnanger Aromahopfen, der sorgsam erst nach dem Sudprozess eingebracht wird).

Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, grasig hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, grasig hopfig, schwach getreidig. Leicht süß mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, leichter Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle. Aroma mild, light stale hops, light honeyish malt. Clear golden colour. Taste is bad, stale hops, light malt. Not good.

2014 fand ich das Bier mit dem weißen Etikett im Supermarkt, das dort nicht mehr zu finden ist. Es war ein recht einfaches Bier, das aber eine schöne Hopfung hatte und dabei einen gemütlich malzigen HIntergrund (das klassische Raschhofer Zwickl läßt grüßen). Es mag nicht die Spritzigkeit mancher deutscher Pils haben, aber erfreut durch hohe Süffigkeit.

Rating from 2010 with 5.1% ABV: Der AT ist herb, aber etwas muffig. Diese Note baut sich im Hauptteil weiter aus, angenehm herb, aber es fehlt an frischen Hopfennoten. Relativ süßlich / märzenähnlich. Der Nachgeschmack ist mittellang, recht herb, aber für ein gutes Pils nicht aromenreich genug. --> wer Märzen mag, für den ist dieses Bier bestimmt etwas. Für mich reicht aber die deutliche und herb-angenehme Hopfennote aber nicht zur Überzeugung. --> 10/9/9/9

Bottle. Golden, bubbly, light offwhite head. Light herbal aroma. Medium body, grainy base, meadowy grassy hops. Medium to light body, light mealy mouthfeel.

12/03 0.5 l bottle from last trip to Graz. It poured golden body with small head. Malty sweetish, honey aroma with only bit of herbal hops. Biscuit and eggy malty flavor, bit boring I would say, with again, only a little bit of herbal hops. Thinner body with shorter papery and eggy finish. Similar to previous Austrian pils we’ve had, this is not quite a true pils and this one is even not interesting.

Bottle from a variety pack found at the Merkur Markt in SC Seiersberg. Poured a light clear golden body with a weak white head. Light sweaty nose, light grainy taste, perfumey in some way, eggy. Almost no bitterness, so no, not really a pils, though not the worst beer around. Blah.

Bottle in Vienna. Brilliant golden yellow color. Good, fine head. Hop and fruit aroma. Slightly skunky. Flavor is very fruity, with a citrus tang. Quite dry, but with about enough malt to back it up. A bit sweet, actually. -Slight cardboard taste. Very bitter, hoppy aftertaste. Very good, although not close to the level set by Hirter.
