(Bottle 48 cl) Again - for Korea - this beautiful fresh, flowery hop scent. What are these hops they use? Beautiful golden colour with a fast fading head. In flavour this is typical Korean: water with a slight malt aroma and only a volatile hint of bitterness. This is not foul or anything, just completely without character. 48 cl bottle, they do keep odd bottle sizes those Koreans. Probably the Easter Bunny snapped to 2 cl away... 270503 2.1

19/10/2024. Bottle from 7-Eleven, Gwangalli Beach, Busan. Pours clear dark golden with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, veggie, cardboard. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, slightly sour and metallic. Moderate body, watery, average carbonation. One of this trips low points.

Can 355ml (Gyeongju). Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma has nasty tart lemony, maize vibe. Light-bodied. Corn malty, low bitterness, watery, a bit cardboardish. Duh.

Bottle in Seoul. Corn, sweetness, water. Moderate bitter, neutral grainy with a smooth sweetish aroma. Strange and not good. Moderate neutral bitterness and corn in the end.

33 cl clear bottle, 1800 KRW or so. Pale yellow color, clear, short soapy head, fizzy. Sweet wet grains, cardboard, corn and unmalted stuff. Sweetish taste, light salty, carbonated, dusty texture, dryish finish. I guess this is the korean version of Corona/Sol, soft drink, maybe quaffable with lemon and a cup of salty peanuts, and nonetheless a lemon version exists.

Aug ’14. A 0.33 l bottle, thanks Marjan! It poured pale yellow body with a small head. Light hop and decent grain aroma. Flavor was less pleasant, grainy and bready with light sugary sweetness. Thin in body, which reflected as short finish, only a bit dry near the very end. Didn’t expect much, didn’t get much, just a drinkable pale lager which could easily be worse.

Thanks Marjan for bringing this all the way from South Korea for heavy, who shared it, of course, with me. :) Yellow-golden body with a tiny white head. Fresh honeyish aroma, actually surprisingly not offensive, pleasant if uninspiring, malty, no hop. Empty taste, bready, malty, some stray fruity notes. Nothing off about it, but MAN it’s watery. Ends slightly dry. Could be worse though.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, süß, getreidig. Geschmack leicht malzig getreidig.
