*500ml-Can in Singapore. Smooth yeasty beginning. Hints of banana and clove. Not too deep, round with grainy hints. Easy to drink with a clove finish. Nice.

Boks 500ml fra Alko Muonio. Drukket i Skibotn 13 Aug 15. Gusjegrågul. Uklar. Nesten ikke skum. Svært beskjeden blomsteraroma. Smaken søt sitrusfrukt. Mandarin. Uvariert & litt for søt.

500ml can by the courtesy of Finn. Big white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Golden with a solid wheat haze. Grass, bread and wheat on the nose, sweet. Taste of mild banana sweetness, wheaty fruit and dough, lightly spiced. Mid-sweet ending. Medium bodied, Standard German weissen (Tromsø 10.10.2015).

Canned, from Alko. Pours murky golden with a thick white head. Ripe banana, bubblegum, wheat in aroma. Some artificial like notes here as well. Overripe bananas, flour and dough. Yeasty. Not very fresh. Mediocre.

L’intensità olfattiva è elevata. Il gusto al naso è di frumento e pane. Il cappello di schiuma persiste, è compatto e voluminoso a bollicine fini di carbonazione media. La consistenza del liquido è opalescente, di colore giallo torbido. L’amaro è percettibile. Il corpo è medio. L’aroma alla lingua è di media dolcezza, che fa a pugni (piuttosto che bilanciarsi) con l’amarognolo medio. Presenti anche il salato e umami. L’intensità gustativa è normale e la persistenza gustativa sufficiente. Il finale è astringente e brusco.

Can (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Hazy orange colour, mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is wheat, some floral and herbal notes along with mild rubber and some earth. Flavour is grains, mild gluelike sweetness, some harsh earthy and dusty bitterness to it. The ones at the alko jury who decided this should be bought into the sortiment should be shot. As should the importer. There are so many better Weissbiers around, yet they manage to choose something very industrial made, which doesn’t even taste like a proper weissbier. I feel robbed by the price I paid for this.

A murky, light yellow beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma is strongly wheat and sour, some spices, only hint of fruitesters. Some old-style wheat bread in the end of glass. Taste has wheat, sourness, some bananas in the end, quite dry. Medium bodied, nice and smooth to drink. I like more to fruitful hefes. Anyway, quite nice, sour style hefe.
