500ml can from Kelterei Possmann, Frankfurt. Pours a clear pale golden yellow, moderate fizzy carbonation. Typically crisp, light sessionable German cider.. fine.

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear yellow, with a short and spritzy, dissipating head. Discreet, dry apple aroma. Light and dry body, faint apple notes and no real tartness. A super clean quencher, just don’t expect much flavor. 280827

500ml can from shop in Frankfurt Airport. Pale yellow gold colour, bubbly white foam head that didsipates away and aroma of apple, sugar, sulphur hint. Taste is sweetish, apple, sugary, alittle core and tartness. Light bodied, high carbonation, drying lingering sweet finish. OK, quite sweet

3/8/2018. Can from tegut..., Frankfurt. Pours clear pale gold with a white head which, unusual for these apfelwein's, stays around for a bit. Aroma is light apple, moderately sweet, with a little caramel. Light sweetness, moderate bitterness and light sour. Typically light body and watery texture with fizzy carbonation.

Wässrig säuerlicher Antrunk. Deutlich verwässerter Mittelteil, spritzig, trocken werdend. Zum Ende wie Mineralwasser, spritzig aber quasi kein Aroma. Unnötig. 8/6/7/4/6/5

Many thanks to McTapps for this can. Fruity-mouldy nose. The cider starts fresh. Nice dry apples, tart and still easy to drink. Typical Frankfurt-style cider. Fresh and easy to drink body, round but a bit weak in aroma. The added water is tastable, but very refreshing.

Can as Fan Schoppe from a small shop in Frankfurt. Pours light gold with a white head. Smells like yellow apple skin. Flavor is light slightly cooked apples and skin. Pretty dry.

15/04 A 0.5 l can Marko brought from Germany, thanks! It poured pale yellow body with medium sized head. Glue, peanut and burnt rubber in aroma. Again, peanut flavor. WTF? Quite sour as well, but not really apples. Medium to thin body, quite watery with sour finish that lasted for long. That ugliness can’t go away fast. I believe something went wrong in this batch, couldn’t take more than a few sips.

Can from Marburg I think. Maybe Frankfurt though I doubt it, 1. Liga Schoppe. Umm... ok, yellow-golden pale body, bubbly and fizzy.... Smells distinctly like peanuts, with light glue. Peanut wine basically, very water, very sourish. How? Why? I really don’t know. But it’s definitely one of the worst ciders I’ve ever tasted. And I even dig the concept, but even among the sour Hessian apple wines, this one stands as a failure. I’m desperately trying not to hate it... but... HOW DO YOU MAKE AN APPLE WINE TASTE LIKE PEANUTS?!

Can. Sweet-sour apple juice aroma. Pale yellow color with mild effervescence. Sweet-tart apple cider flavor with moderate carbonation - okay but nothing special. I guess it’s pretty bad that my last rating in Germany will be a cider but I am in Frankfurt.
