This NW style sour ale is a strong blond ale aged in chardonnay barrels for up to 12 months, then aged with dried white figs and lemon peel or up to 12 more months. Aromas of sweet figs, golden raisins, and citrus zest are the first to be noticed. Hints of white wine grapes, lemon peel, and sweet figs roll across the palate, leading to a crisp lemon tartness in the finish that leaves a lingering sweetness on the tongue.

Musty grape, fig, tropical notes. Light at this point for cascade tartness

Glass thanks to the brewer at Borefts Beer Festival. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has lots of lemon peel, citrus, tart stone fruits and a good amount of funk. Some grapey notes just in the back of the aroma. Taste is very tart, citric, lemon peel, stone fruits, some grapey tartness, funk. Dont see where the figs get in this but it’s pretty darn tasty anyhow!

Tap @ Borefts. Vinous aroma. Sour flavor, vinous, with white berries. Totally dry, hint of wood. Not a trace of alcohol. Hint of vanilla. Very nice.

RB backlog. Gooseberry, toast, light burnt rubber, apple peal, smoky woodiness, raisins. Mild, building sweetness, becomes astringent, with lightly dusty woody bitter sweetness and tang in the finish. Strong and wildly thick sour ale.
