A much loved traditional winter style from Scandinavia. Pouring a deep and hazy copper, with a full, lingering cream head, our Julebryg presents a subtle noble hop aroma accompanied by hints of rosemary and mint. Rich biscuity malt flavors on the palate are balanced by a firm bitterness and kept refreshing with medium-high carbonation.
Julebryg is made by our brewer who spent last Xmas in Greenland producing lager, kölsch and altbier in the deep winter of Greenland. The style is a typical style released in Greenland and Denmark over the xmas period.
Initially released for the winter of 2016, replaced by Julebryg V2 in 2017, then rebrewed in 2018 with tweaks for the Fuliranje festival.

Can @ Bi Village Camping, Fazana. Pours clear dark golden with an offwhite head, lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel, herbs, chrismas spices, rosemary. Flavor sweet, spicy, malty, caramel, herbal, earthy, spices, herbal. Medium body, soft average carbonation, sweet herbal finish. 160719

Tap at Damian. The rosemary comes through assertively, otherwise mostly malty, slightly spicy. Moderate caramel. Festive feeling. Rather interesting than good, but still rather good than bad.

Can from Damian bottle shop. Pours reddish, let's call it amber. Herbal aroma, could be rosemary. In a taste it's definitely rosemary, not really visible hops. maybe on third or fourth sip. It's okay

Tap. Malty aroma, caramel, light smoked notes. Tastes the same as aroma, medium bitter, light sour notes. Medium to full body, malty bitter finish. Ok.

Can, 0.33l. Clear deep copper/amber pour, two finger frothy off-white head. Long lasting, lots of lacing on the glass as it goes down. Citrus, herbs and grass on the nose. Medium body, soft carbonation. Thick and creamy texture, smooth mouthfeel. Bittersweet taste, a bit more on the bitter side, especially in the aftertaste. Aroma is quite malty, pilsner malts, mild caramel. Strong herbal rosemary notes. A bit grassy, slightly grainy. Solid herbal spiciness paired with bitter citrus notes. Dry and peppery finish, long lasting. Pretty solid brew. Rosemary is incorporated quite well, it's always there but not cloying or overwhelming at all. Well balanced but not particularly refreshing, perhaps a bit too dry. Interesting beer to try.

On tap at Ljetno kino Tuškanac. Pours deep amber, medium off-white head. Malty, caramel, some fruitness, strong rosemary, herbal, spicy. Light sweetness, some bitterness. Light to medium body. Not a big fan of rosemary, but have to say this is well crafted brew.

Red-copper colored, clear, medium- off white head. Aroma is of malt, biscuit, fruity, some spice, herbs, rosemary. Taste is medium- sweet malt and caramel biscuity, fruity with some candy notes, bit bready, light spice, herbal, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium- bodied, soft+ carbonation, oily. Interesting brew. (on tap, Craft Room, Zagreb)

On tap at Ljetno Kino Tuškanac event Zagreb. Darker amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, flowery whiff in the nose. Sweet malty, light fruity, notes of berries and mild perfumed rosemary notes with touch of spices in rather sweet finish. Not bade but nothing more than that.
