Bottle (BB Feb 2019). Fruity in aroma, wine with subtle note of noble alcohol. Sweet, fruity with vanilla note. Very smooth with completely hidden booze. Great delicate beer.

Bottle: Poured a murky brown color ale with no head and no carbonation. Aroma of caramelized sugar with some residual sugar notes and some oxidation with some nice vinous notes. Taste is a complex mix of oxidized notes of caramelized malt with some residual sugar notes with nice oak and vinous notes which provides great balance. Body is full with no carbonation. One of the best form this series of barrel-aged barleywine.

From the bottle, at Baladin, Bologna, Italy. Pours copper with nice reflections, very clear, not foam at all. Aroma is intense and persistent, with hazelnut, caramel, fruits under spirits, plum. Body is not too thick, actually. Taste is again reminiscent of plum (like plum wine), and hazelnut. Sweetness is intense, accompanied by some final bitterness. Finish leaves a wonderful sweetish mouthfeel that never leaves you.

Huge thanks Domagoj V for sharing! Brown amber body, misty, no head. Creamy aroma, raisins, creamy maltiness, strong, ending dry, pleasant, lovely even. Soft almondish malty raisin taste, creamy, extremely creamy even, light spicy touch. Did I say creamy? Definitely creamy. The spiciness shows up at the otherwise dryish finish. This is a lovely dessert beverage. Great job Baladin!

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como, corked, batch feb 2019
Hazy dull golden to light amber color. Sweet aroma, dominant vanilla, nougat, sweet oak, apricot jam, and even a hint of booze. Sweet but not syrupy flavor, fudge is the main character, it has mild vanilla notes, mild vinous touch, and some sweet nuts in the lean final.
After drinking the Terre 2012, this one appears to be more straight forward, sharper, less complex.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy opaque vibrant dark orange with almost no head. Aroma brings out notes of vanilla, oak barrels, some vanilla, and caramel, with very subtle oxidation. Flavour is very unusual, with lots of vanilla and butterscotch upfront, with plenty of woody oak, and some lovely warming from the alcohol. Finishes on notes of butterscotch and vanilla. Nearly flat carbonation that works. A decadent treat.
