500mL bottle, pours a cloudy opaque vibrant dark orange with almost no head. Aroma brings out notes of vanilla, oak barrels, some vanilla, and caramel, with very subtle oxidation. Flavour is very unusual, with lots of vanilla and butterscotch upfront, with plenty of woody oak, and some lovely warming from the alcohol. Finishes on notes of butterscotch and vanilla. Nearly flat carbonation that works. A decadent treat.

Clear, deep golden to copper colored, no head, thick. Aroma is of sherry, walnut, carob, some malt and toffee, dried fruit, wine barrel, light oak. Taste is medium to very sweet malt, toffee, light caramel, some dried fruit, walnut, carob, wine barrel, some oaky notes, light+ bitterness, light alcohol. Full bodied, flat carbonation, thick-sticky. While it is excellent it’s not the best Barleywine ever and the price is waaaaay too high... gonna add some more "waaaaaay" here. A 0.5 l bottle that poured a hazy amber body with no head and only a little bit of carbonation. Aroma of malted barley, grain, sweet fruits, wood, also grape skin. Flavor was fruity, white grape skin now dominated, oak, sugar, caramel to cooked fruit, earthy notes. Maybe touch of vanilla, too. Medium bodied, even with a watery mouthfeel since these grapes balanced out the sweetness of a barley wine and made it extremely easy and drinkable on palate. Moderately long finish, balanced, too, with light vinous sourness being the longest survivor. Interesting and memorable, although really a weird brew. I guess many would simply hate it, but I’m fine with it.
