Ond shows our love for smoked and dark beers. Strength-wise, it belongs to robust porters, which means it has a slightly higher alcohol level and a medium body. The smoked character is incorporated into the entire beer and does not obscure the combination of roasted malts that give it a chocolaty and caramely character. To top it all off, we have added a carefully selected combination of Slovene and American hops that together, in the form of a slightly herbal woody note, conclude the complexity of Ond. Another true homage to lager beer brewing with 0 shortcuts. Only the best ingredients you can gather to brew a beer and the best possible brewing technique.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.3%, IBU 43. Very dark brown / nearly black colour, small beige head. Strong aroma of roast malts and smoked malts, notes of coffee, chocolate and bonfire. The flavour is fortunately not too dry (but not sweet either), slightly fruity, again with dominant notes of roast malts and smoked malts, also notes of coffee and dark bitter chocolate.

On tap at ’Craft Beer Corner’. Dark brown to black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and quite smoky aroma of caramel, chocolate and smoked ham. Rather sweet, malty, slightly roasty and quite smoky taste of milk chocolate, some coffee, a touch of licorice and quite a bit of smoked ham, followed by a medium long, slightly roasty-bitter, quite smoky finish. Over medium-bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty!

Aug. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle at Craft Room, Zagreb. It poured a pitch black body with medium to big brown head. Aroma of smoked cheese, caramel, coffee, cocoa with some light but fine herbal hops. Flavor was lightly sweet, caramel dominated with a subtle smoked note. Medium bodied with a long finish, where smoked peaty character was more pronounced together with light coffee, caramel and more complex toasted malts like dried fruits, wood and light herbal bitterness. A nice smoked porter, gets better later, maybe was served a bit too cold initially.

Draft @ Pivo & Burger Fest Oct’16, Ljubljana.

At BBF, pitch black color, aroma of coal and smoked meat, smokey meaty flavor with lots of chocolate, a bit of sweetness, but almost completley dry. Very good.
