Bottle, shared at Northern Monk. Deepest, ruby red. Foamy, beige head. Nose has oaky vanilla. Toffee apple. Baked apple. Big on the caramel, with notes of wafer and ripe vine fruit. Taste is sweet and oaky, with some boozy bitterness. Full on mouthfeel. Rich and sweet. Bit of booze to finish. Standard stuff.

66cl Bottle sample at Potjepalooza. Hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is quite sweet, vanilla, sweet malts, sticky, dried apricots, raisins, oak, caramel/toffee. Flavour follows, quite sweet and sticky, toffee, raisin, apricot, oak, alcohol, vanilla. Medium to full bodied. Nice, but a bit too sweet for me.

Bottle @ Potjepalooza, 10 cl sample. Almost clear amber color, short frothy head. Aroma of toffee, caramel and toasted malts, bit orange marmalade. Soft sweetness, toffee, marmalade. Drinks way too easy for a 12% beer.
