Bottled. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is creamy, some coffee, mild toasted and ashy tones with some slight liquorice and dark berries. Flavour is liquorice, smoked wet wooden tones, chocolate, some ashes, coffee, roasted malts and mild creamy tones with some berries as well. Smooth.

Tap @ Borefts. Deep dark brown color. Malr, roast and apple in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty flavor with a hint of apple. Thinnish. Decent.

Dark brown with a frothy brown head that exits completely. Lovely cafe mocha aroma with a hint of vanilla frosting. A fun one for sniffing. The taste is more mundane however. Plenty of coffee grounds and some dark chocolate. Sweet up front with a growing roasted bitterness at the end. Finishes with a sudden wollop of overripe plum. The kind of plum maybe better left uneaten, but, well, not altogether unpleasant. You just think your stomach might regret it. Despite all that, it’s actually a bit simple given the abv. It’s the palate though that’s really irritating me with this brew. Medium and oily, fair enough, but incredibly flaccid. The carbonation seems to have leeched out of the bottle at an earlier date. Gone and now we’re left with memories of cafe mocha and that plum and it’s promise of digestive agaony. Interesting.

Bottle. 12 days after BBF date. Color: Almost black, beige head. Aroma: Coffee, mocha, roasted malt. Taste: Coffee, mocha, roasted malt. Vanilla and nuts hints. Medium sweet, moderate bitter. Medium body, below average carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice coffee flavours, lacking some body in my opinion.

On tap at Mikkeller Warsaw. Black pour with a tan foam lacing off pretty quick. Nose: balanced chocolate, cocoa powder and pinch of black olive. Mouth: soft olive again, thin for the abv and sugary a bit.

A very tasty and smooth, creamy porter.
