330ml bottle from Silpo in Kyiv. Pours hazy orange with a medium-sized head. Aroma is resin, malt, grapfruit. Taste is light sweet, malt, piney hops. Medium bitter finish.

Bottle. Light yellow color, hazy, white foam. Aroma: sweet, yeast, seals, spicy, citrus, old hop. Taste: spicy, very bitter, citrus, fruity, mediocre.

Unclear, medium to strong offwhite head, nice lasting. Aroma is malt and caramel, moderate pine and citrus, grassy hops. Taste is medium sweet malt, caramel malt, medium citrus and pine hops, bit grassy, medium bitterness, dry finish. Lightly harsh. Medium bodied, average carbonation, oily.

EIne Erklärung des Namens findet man auf dem Etikett auf Ukrainisch und Englisch. "Batyar" war eine Lemberger Subkultur, welche von Mitte des 19.Jahrhunderts bis 1938 aktiv war. Es handelte sich um Hooligans, welche keine jungen Burschen, sondern repektable Bürger waren. Sie genossen den Alkohol und Raufereien in Cafés. Sie waren bekannt für ihre WItze, Lieder und ihre Liebe zu ihrer Heimatstadt L'viv. Das Bier ist ein IPA mit einer ordentlichen Bitterkeit. Dazu kommen frische Aromen nach Zitronenzeste und Mandarinen. EIn wirklich gutes Bier mit ordentlich Bitterkeit.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk on a train. Hazy amber colour lasting cream head. Grapefruit hoppy aroma. Some sweet malt in the mouth. Some good grapefruit flavour and bitterness on the finish. Very drinkable. Went down easier than Neymar.

Botella 33 cl en el Kraken 27..05..2018. (r20). Color ámbar anaranjado turbio con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores secos maltosos y cereales con toques herbales maduros algo secos y resinosos. Ligeras especias. Cuerpo medio algo seco y no muy amargo al final seco. Buena.

A seriously solid west coast IPA. Heavy on the fresh lime citrus hops with plenty of California pine style aroma. Good malt backbone and lots of bitterness. Bottle from brewpub, drank walking around Lviv.

Bottle bought at the brewpub, enjoyed back at home a few months later. Pours copper, rather hazy, big frothy head. Aroma is spicy, tangy, citrusy, herbal, intense spicy malt, some rye. Medium body. Flavour is very interesting, spicy, some citrus, rye, lot of malt depth, herbal hops. Long finish, again very spicy, tangy. Very nice IPA, very herbal and spicy. I enjoy it a lot!
