Oh, the sweet-roasty-creamy goodness of the first cup of the coffee of the day! This is the same, but it's a beer. The mix of oats, rye malt, caramel and dark roasted barley malts gives this beer that rich chocolaty taste with just a shade of bitterness. Lactose interlaces the layers of coffee and toastiness and provides the same smooth and silky mouthfeel. It is as deeply satisfying as your morning cuppa. 330ml can. Pours black with a big beige head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, milk chocolate. Taste is very roasty, coffee, milky chocolate, sweet but a decent bitterness from the malts. Medium bodied.

Schwarze Farbe mit bräunlicher Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger Geruch mit Schokolade und Karamell. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit Kaffee, Schokolade und Karamell. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Pours oily black with a thin brown head, some lacing. Aroma of burnt malt, burnt coffee grounds. Taste has some alcohol, some lingering coffee notes, more burnt malt. Palate has some milky elements that soften the acerbic notes, vague coffee element stays on the nose. Eh.

330ml bottle. Pours dark, good tan head. Roasty nose, rich chocolate shades. Initial sip gives silky liquorice impressions, additional coffee and dark roasted malts emerge. Expected more of a creamy lactose presence, quite rich, but decent overall.

330ml bottle purchased as part of of a delivery from Beautiful Beers and drunk at home. Dark brown and just a little bit translucent with a big fluffy khaki head. Light creamy aroma, dusted with chocolate. Sweet taste with gentle chocolate and some raisin and plum. A sharp and somewhat jarring turn to the bitter before the finish. Fairly full body for the ABV with soft to medium carbonation. Decent.

2/7/2022. Bottle shared at fonefan tasting. Pours very dark brown with a small creamy beige coloured head. Aroma is lightly roasted, malty, coffee, milk chocolate, hops. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness, slightly tart hint. Moderate body, light creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Just a slight soapy edge to finish, but pretty decent.
