Oh, the sweet-roasty-creamy goodness of the first cup of the coffee of the day! This is the same, but it's a beer. The mix of oats, rye malt, caramel and dark roasted barley malts gives this beer that rich chocolaty taste with just a shade of bitterness. Lactose interlaces the layers of coffee and toastiness and provides the same smooth and silky mouthfeel. It is as deeply satisfying as your morning cuppa. Black colored, medium tan creamy head, rather lasting. Aroma is of malt, dark chocolate and coffee, milky lactose, some dark berries, roasty malt, Taste is medium sweet roasty malt, coffee, dark berries, lactose, some burnt notes, medium+ roasty bitterness, dryish finish with a lacto underlayer. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bit creamy. Not as sweet as some, but more on the roasty bitter side, too much so even.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, beige head. Lovely licoricy roast aroma. Medium body, again lots of licorice with only a hint of underlying sweetness. Not much fuss about this one, simply a well rounded Stout - with the milk part very downplayed. 060618

On tap at Art Craft Pub, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lactose upfront, with medium toasted malt. Flavour is nicely deep, with lots of lactose, followed by soft toasted malt. The lactose dominates, being supported by a nice soft palate. Nicely put together.

Thanks Sandi! Black body, off white head. Oof, tart notes, yeastiness, metallic touches, raisins, lactose. Very much messy. Taste... roasty, light metal, light berries, solid bitterness. Just off and messy. Expected far, far more. Will retry when I can.

Bottle. Muddy brown. Small head. Aroma: caramel, esters, dried fruit. Medium body. Sweet taste. Caramel & esters. Seems a bit off and out of the style. Still drinkable enough.

Tap at Lisopylka. Sweet cooking chocolate, roasted grains, touch of fecal. Tastes like sweetened coffee grounds, slight astringency and light bitterness. Okish.
