This beer uses four classic American hops, Amarillo, Chinook, Citra and Centennial, giving flavours and aromas of pine, citrus, and stone fruits in abundance. These sit on a base of Pale, Munich and light crystal malts that support the hops and bring out flavours reminiscent of pastry dough and bread crust. A fantastic homage to our friends across the pond!

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly fruity, hoppy aroma with hints of orange, a herbal touch, pale malty background with a biscuit touch. Taste is similar but more intense, kind of fluid orange cookie.

Bottle from The Ale House, Chelmsford. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with an average white head. Hoppy, grassy aroma. At 4.4% ABV for an American Pale Ale it’s somewhat thin-bodied but nice and refreshing on a summers day.

Bottle from Utobeer drunk at home. Clear paleish gold with thin white head. Somewhere between a golden ale and an APA, more a Golden Ale for me. But hey. Very drinkable light citrusy and easy drinking.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; light clear amber pour with tidy white head, big piny hop aroma, wished the taste of this lived up to the nose as it would be glorious, taste for me is a bit thin and watery with not much hop to malt balance, ok. --- Beer merged from original tick of American Pale Ale (APA) on 12 Jun 2013 at 23:19 - Score: 6. Original review text: Big hop nose that doesn't translate into the taste.

Cask at the Brew Pub. Almost clear gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate, low carbonation. Decent citrus orange and lesser grapefruit. Spot of lemon. All very dry. Finishes dry and a little bitter. Nice citrus but too dry.

Cask at the brewpub, London. Pours clear yellow with a fine, white foam head. Dry lemony hops in the nose, hay. Medium sweet flavor with some doughy biscuits, straw, lemon. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, some citrus peel, biscuits, hay, faint grass. Decent.
