Carlton Draught is one of Australia's biggest selling tap beers. This traditional full strength lager, available nationally, is renowned for delivering "brewery fresh" taste. Carlton Draught provides a crisp mid-palate flavour which is balanced with a clean hop bitterness and a slightly dry finish.

Bottle from walkabout UK. Clear golden colour not much head, but drunk from bottle. Aroma has a touch of malt. Taste is dull and life less, I’ve had worse much worse.

A bit of a deep golden color with a white head. Grainy aroma with a bit if sweetness. Bland with a slightly off-putting pebbly grain flavor. Not something I’d want to drink too much of.

Pours a clear golden color with slight orange undertone. White head tops is semi-resistant. There is a malty aroma, slightly smelly and some soury feel to it. The taste is malty, sweet and light. A little bitterness in the finish. Not what I expected, but drinkable.

Bottle, 0.375l. Clear golden color with medium frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of grainy malt, hay, dust and mild grassy hops. Clean and bland lager taste with grainy and vegetably notes, crisp and dry mouthfeel with light bitter finish. Light body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Bottle looks nice, beer tastes poor...

12/V/2012 - 355ml bottle @ Joyce's place - BB: 1[*$£%]12 (print was unclear, so really, I have no clue) (2012-490) Thanks to Thomas and Annelies for the bottle!
Clear light orange beer, small bubbly head, unstable, non adhesive. Pretty viscose looking while pouring. Aroma: pretty malty, grains, nutty, toast or bread. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: grains, little fruity, bitter hops. Aftertaste: grassy bitter hops. There's not much in this one.

From a 375ml bottle on 1/7/2010. Back in the day when there was rarely more than three beers on tap, and I didn’t have an understanding of what a good beer tasted like, this is what I’d go for. Aroma wise, there is a negligible sweet smell of grains and chemicals. At least it tastes better than it smells. Nothing to note other than big dollop of sweetness at the start , followed by a mild bitter finish. I’d still have this over VB, but there’s not too much in it.

Golden amber pour, thing head.Lots of grainy malt on the aroma, no noticeable hops (they probably use isohops...). Shows a distinct "old dirty pub" smell.Sweet grainy malt upon tasting, some caramel. Not much else to say really! Seriously weak bitterness. Not as watery as you’d expect for a mainstream cheap lager, but the carbonation is over the top, as per usual!
