A classic Pale Ale with an American twist. The low alcohol content makes it a lighter, very drinkable beer. In contrast, it is strong in aroma and taste with hints of tropical fruits and noticeable citruses. The aftertaste is dry with moderate bitterness and mild carbonization.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy straw coloured pour with a tall white head; clean lemony citrus aroma with a little pine; lemony taste with a dry biscuity body; and a chewy lemon finish.

330ml can. Clear gold with moderate sized white head, reasonable retention. Aroma of citrus and light tropical with hints of tcp antiseptic and library books. Taste has a hop staleness but there is a good bitter bite, late resinous element and slick medium body.

Can received as a gift at Christmas, only called Pale Ale, but its description says 'American' and is the same design. Clear golden with a frothy head. Quite a bitter tasting pale, although its aroma is perhaps more of a pointer to its style in this respect.

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of stone fruit, faint tropical fruit, flowers, caramel, grass and tea. Pours cloudy dark golden color with large soapy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts light to medium sweet fruity, citrusy and floral, following is caramelly and bready, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is average bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Not more than average home brew pale ale...
