Wolgang von Pampelmuse, captain of the 1952 Berlin men’s slalom squad and noted citrus enthusiast knew the importance of maintaining his vital juices. His strict training regimen incorporated copious amounts of fresh squeezed fruit, even in the offseason. With a nod to Opa Von P., we bring you the namesake beer of Berlin with a bright burst of mandarin and grapefruit.

Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. A clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of tart citrus fruits, herbs, lime. Taste of lime, salt, citrus fruits, refreshing.

(Thank you!) Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. That is one ugly label. Clear. Nose is weird Vitamin C brett, chemical grapefruit,.. Mineral glue, sour acidic medication, Vitamin C, basic sour. Not a fan.

Clear pale yellow beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, citrus, grapefruit juice, bit yeasty. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of sour stuff, grapefruit, lemon juice. Aftertaste: sourish, pretty bitter, lemon juice, very acidic.

From bottle at kermis’s b-day tasting at Kwartje. Hazy golden with no head. Hay, grass, grains, rhubarb, milk bacteria, white grapeskins. Moderate sweet, bitter and light sour. Sampled at Chris' birthday share. Hazy straw yellow with a thin white head. Notes of gooseberries, citrus, lime, salt, green berries. Light and refreshing.

Bottle shared at kermis' birthday. Bit hazy golden with short lasting fizzy white head. Yeah does have some grapefruit and pomelo, light lactic grains, soft corn, red berries, soft herbs. Medium sour and light bitter. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation.
