Brewed with English malts, roasted coconut and Sorachi Ace hops this beer delivers a big dark chocolate and roast coconut aroma with all the tastes from well-balanced porter-roasted malt, chocolate and hints of coffee paired with a silky smooth coconut hit on the finish to make for a full luxurious flavour. Altogether this makes for a big porter with some serious drinkability.

330ml bottle: BBD 20th Sep 17. Given to me by the brewers and drank during a tasting session with myself at home on 1st July 17. Almost black in colour, lightly tanned head. Lovely aroma of vanilla and coconuts wrapped in chocolate, taste is similar and fairly sweet, the hops trying to calm it all down a little (and almost succeeding). My sweet tooth really liked this.

Draft at the brewery taproom, with the RB bros post CWC III. Pours deep brown with a foamy, tan head. Nice toasted coconut in the snout, some cocoa as well, light roast. Light to medium sweet flavour with pleasant lightly oily coconut, mellow roast, further chocolate notes. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with further pleasant blend of bittersweet cocoa and coconut. Very good beer.

Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo and consumed at Les Pres Verts 4 Sardines campsite on the coast 3km from Concarneau, Brittany, France Saturday 10th June 2017 Murky, grubby very dark brown with a slim off white rim of creamy bubbles. Very roasty but then the Sorachi Ace hops never ones to be shy come slutting there way through dancing with the coconuts. Some dark bitter, gritty chocolate and a little heat from the abv. I like this. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

330ml bottle from the brewery. Pours black with a large pale tan head. Gorgeous desert-like chocolate / vanilla aroma. Taste is smooth, chocolatey with some nice creamy vanilla-like flavours. Wouldnt necessarily point out coconut in this line-up, although Im sure its there, but still quite a sumptuously sweet desert beer. Very good.
