From tap @ Meetnica in Bratislava. F: medium, tanned, good retention. C: black, opaque. A: dark malts, chocolate, berries and cherries. T: full malty base, dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, liquorice, spicy, cherries, nice balanced long lasting bitterness, medium carbonation, not bad yet I expected a bit more complex tones here, enjoyed.

Bottle 0.75l from our archive, three years old. Cloudy, dark red to black colored. AROMA- nice aged character, sour cherry, sour cherry liqueur, sour cherry in chocolate, touch of wood. FLAVOR- dry, sour cherry liqueur with some very bitter wood, sharp alcohol, finish is very harsh, lots of very bitter wood with bad taste. Full bodied. Really not pleasant stuff.

Tap at Unity. Really feels porterish, with more focus on cocoa chocolatey soft roast and caramel, with a fair amount of fruitiness and almost no deep roast. Full bodied, with moderate warming alcohol present too, not the subtlest of heavy hitters. Moderate amount of cherry present. Overall feels a bit unbalanced, what with the alcohol and all. But not bad. Not great, not terrible.

Bottle, thanks Milan! Dark brown body. Tart cherry notes mixing with dark maltiness. Extremely dry taste, just some cherries and dark maltiness. Still, better than the tap version I've had before. 7/4/6/3/12 Tap at 20piv. Murky dark red-brown. Homemade cherry liqueur aroma (višnjevac). Sweetish cherry on some maltiness. Taste... Err. Dry, not that sweet. Cherry and a ton of bitterness. A metric shitton of bitterness with the poor little cherries trying to fight it back. Too simple. And then alcohol. Er. Not that great. 7/4/5/2/10

Taster from tap at 20 pip, Prague. Shared with Marko. Dark brown to black, red tint, small tan head. Aroma is cherry brandy, chocolated cherries, Griotte. Slightly roasty. Spicy. Flavour is well balanced, chocolate, cherries, roasty, slightly burnt, alcohol almost completely hidden. Slightly one sided, other fruity aromas low. Sweet, juicy, dry roasty finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Quite elegant.
