Special Ale. A smooth maltyspecial ale, with a handsome bronze colour, deceptively easy, going down with a clean rewarding hop finish. 2p per pint goes to the local RNLI Lifeboat

Half-pint, 4.9 % abv, cask ale at Queen's Hotel. Clear copper coloured body, nitro white head, spotty lacing. dark brown malty nose, hints of leaves. Caramel malty flavours alongside moments of dark leaves and herbal hops. Caramel malty end with distant bitterness. Like it. (Swansea 30.09.2018).

Cask at Cornubia - Bristol. Pours clear orange-gold with a small, foamy white head. Bready malt nose, a touch buttery, some English yeast. Light sweet flavour with doughy, lightly toasted malts, subtle leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; so so carbonation. Sweet finish, more doughy and lightly butter bread. Eh, fairly mediocre.

Cask at Cornubia. It pours clear brown with a small white head. The aroma is earthy, bready, caramel, toasty grain and leather. The taste is drying, chewy, old leather sofa, tannin, stewed black tea and some peppery spice with a drying finish. Light body and soft carbonation. A pretty standard twiggy cask thing, but not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 5/5/2015. Amber with a slight, off-white, head. A malty beer, with some caramel, red berries and touch of citrus, before a decent, bitter, finish. Good.

18th April 2015: gravity poured half-pint at the Stourbridge CAMRA Beer Festival. 4.9% ABV according to the beers notes. Bronze/amber body, white head that stayed. Malts lead the way in this semi-sweet, semi-fruity brew, the finish a little dry and slightly bitter. Decent.

Pigs Ear, The Round Church, Hackney. Cask. Light haze on this deep amber beer. Bubbly white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with light fine carbonation. Smooth malt, with a light sweetish toffee streak. Light dried fruits. Little orange peel. Light dry finish. Not bad.
