Cask; special for the Wetherspoons Autumn 2014 International Real Ale Festival.

Heather McReynolds has travelled to Adnams Brewery, in Suffolk, to brew this beer especially for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. The abundance of American hops in this light amber beer imparts a floral, citrus aroma and notes of grapefruit, orange and spice in the flavour, leading to a thirst-quenching bitterness balanced by a malty backbone.

Cask at George, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a small beige head. The nose is orange, peach, perfumed, caramel and pine. The taste is bitter, oily, pine needles, resin, orange, peach, grapefruit, light floral and varnish with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. a bit sticky on the mouth-feel. Pretty tasty and good level of bitterness. Solid.

Cask at the crosse keys bank. Clear orange coloured pour with a short lived white head that fades to a halo. Aroma is bitter lemon citrus light caramel. Flavour is earthy citrus bitterness, touch of biscuity caramel malts. Palate is light and watery with soft carbonation. Little hop resin on the tongue but it is small. OK.
