Surrounded by hematocrit levels of 55+...thick, deep, dark blood working efficiently at threshold, but struggling at rest. Team mates win with super human performances, some get caught, always denial! some die in there sleep...blood to thick to move, missed there alarm clock for the night time stair jog.......but the Omerta code of silence dictates the strangle of silence, the peloton rides on.

Big thick rich imperial stout, nine different malts in the grist brings a thick brown head with lots of chocolate, roasted coffee and dark fruit flavours, Columbus hops bring a balanced assertive bitterness to the table.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Gaff. Opaque dark brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is dry and has modest fine carbonation. Thin dark malts still bring a little roasty bitterness. Bitterish dark fruits on the light dry finish. Bitter linger. Quite a bitterish stout then but otherwise unremarkable.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenwise. Pours black brown with a bubbly, beige head. The nose has some toasted licorice, scorched earth, cocoa, ash. Medium sweet flavour with lots of burnt wood, bitter chocolate, more earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more torched wood, baking cocoa, dried leathery fruits, woody dryness. Pretty good stuff.
