Cask at CBC Holborn - London. Pours perfectly clear gold with a lingering off-white head. The nose holds dry and rindy citrus, some wood, peach, pine. Light sweet flavor with bitter grains, hay, ripe citrus fruit sugars, stewed fruits, vague orange, leathery fruits, grass, toast. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; pretty good condition. Moderate sweetness on the finish with light citric astringency, more ripe orange, wood and dirty grass. OK.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 27th May 2014. Clear copper with off-white foam. Biscuit malt, spices and aniseed notes in aroma. Grapefruit hop, spices and herbs in-mouth with aniseed presence continuing before disappearing into a finish that becomes mainly bitter. Fine yet engaging texture and medium body.

On cask at Cloisters. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - biscuits and a hint of toffee but also earthiness. Taste - biscuit and red fruit with an earthy backbone. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - a very session able bitter but I’d like more biscuits please.
