Mountain, waterfall, hike or climb. Meet fond friends in far-flung bars, share well-worn stories about long-healed scars. Climb over boulders, traverse round bends, stand on a peak looking at the worlds end. Choose your adventure, drink good beer. Fresh orange zest, flavours of mango and papaya, the aroma of good times.

Keg at Butch Annie’s, Cambridge. Very light gold, slightly hazy. Not as much aroma as I was expecting. A touch of kumquat and a suggestion of Triple Sec. Stark yet moreish bitter finish. More kumquat peel and some tangerine notes. Long waxy bitter finish. Pales in comparison to the Shape Shifter which I just finished... but this is bloody good in its own right. I’ve been slightly ambivalent about Fourpure in the past but they’re whacking out a fair few crackers these days.

Can from the Beer Gonzo Web Shop. Amber pour with a white head. Lots of citrus in the nose (unsurprisingly) with a splash of fresh herbs, caramel and pine. Flavours of sweetcorn, sweet citrus, tropical fruit. Refreshing little number. Nice.

Keg @ Brewdog Manchester, Manchester. Golden-amber with an extremely thin bubbly head. Has a metallic-malty nose with toffee notes here and in its taste. Very palatable for its strength.

Can thanks to Colin. Light to medium golden with skin of white head. Light piney hoppy aroma, some fruit, some floral. Taste continues, and then tails off considerably. Weak finish.
