Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is huge coffee, roasted, light chocolate, taste is bitter, roasted, coffee, chocolatey.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, thick, fluffy, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, beige to tan head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, coffee beans, chocolate, fruity hoppy overtones with a touch of mandarine, orange and cherry. Taste is bitter hoppy and roasty dark malty, intense notes of coffee, coffee beans, some dark chocolate, a touch of cocoa, subtle residual sweetness, lasting bitter finish.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a creamy light tan head, aroma has rich coffee and chocolate, taste has roast malts, rich coffee, bitter chocolate, some smoke, a hint of vanilla, dark fruits.

Pours black with a large tan head.Nose shows massive coffee as well as a bit of roasted malt.Flavours include coffee grounds, heavy roast and an assertive bitterness.

Bottle shared at The Cad’s 10 year get together. 29/03/2015. A viscous dark brown / black coloured pour, oily, thin light tan head. Aroma a dark roast coffee, coffee bean, ashy roast, and dried fruits. Flavour is composed of ashy roast, cherry notes, plum, coffee, . Palate is dry, and ashy with moderate carbonation. Solid.

Bottle shared during the Cad’s 10th anniversary bash - Clerkenwell, London. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Nice dry roast aroma with accents of cocoa, milk chocolate and earth. Medium sweet flavor with notes of dusty cocoa, light charred wood, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Ashy dry cocoa finish. OK overall.

Bottle at the Cads 10th Anniversary bash, mentalist bottle alert - think James Bradfords shoes, 29/03/15. Black with a decent tan covering that retains well. Nose is coffee, biscuit, spice, light charr, dark malts. Taste comprises coffee grinds, light spice, roast malt, hint of cocoa powder. Medium bodied, fine carbonaiton, semi drying close. Ok coffee lead stout.

Crazy looking bottle at The Cad’s 10 yr Shindig. It pours black with a small beige head. The nose is toasty, bitter-sweet, liquorice, earth, espresso coffee, choc gateaux and some dark fruits. The taste is bitter-sweet, roasty, coffee, earth, liquorice, espresso, dark fruits and some acidity. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not a whole lot to it, but a decent coffee stout nonetheless.

Bottle at Toms 10 yr anniversary. Some soy sauce on aroma but flavour is better some coffee and dark chocolate. Decent beer. Likeable coffee.
