A brand new beer has been specially brewed by Hook Norton Ales to commemorate the county’s millennium year.
’Inspired’, is a real Oxfordshire beverage: brewed with barley malt form Swalcliffe, hops from Kingston Bagpuize and water from Hook Norton’s own wells.
During the course of producing ’Inspired’, Oxfordshire suffered devastating floods. The beer is therefore dedicated to all those who assisted in dealing with the flooding and aided those affected.
The beer was launched in early September and will be available in selected pubs in Oxfordshire.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon and grassiness. Taste - more of the same. Good hop resin note lurking. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent ale.
