Cask @ Percy Shaw, Halifax. Light golden coloured with a head. It’s hoppy but crisp with an underlying tropical fruitiness, although never gets overly stated.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Smooth malts, mildly sweet. Little orange and tangerine. Mild floralness, tangy and lightly bitter. Light finish. Not bad.

Handpull cask at the Pilgrims Progress (JDW), Bedford. Golden, mostly clear. Nice big white head. Yeah. Lush floral marmalade smell, with fresh grass and a touch of soap. Bittersweet taste, more sweet than bitter but very well balanced. Aftertaste is a bit soapy. All in all a likeable and drinkable beer, a welcome recipe from Butcombe.

On cask at the Standing Order Appearance - golden amber with a decent head Nose - loads of toffee and very little in the way of fruity hops. Taste - peach and toffee. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - was expecting something a lot fresher.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. Golden amber with a cream head; muted floral aroma; sweet citrusy taste; and a pleasant floral finish. The hops don’t reach out and grab you, but this is actually a rather elegant and restrained beer.

Cask handpull at Muggleton Spoons Maidstone. Clear gold lasting white head. Well yes it has some tangerine hop flavour. But ultimately this is a little disappointing. A little sweet. Hops are good as they grow in the mouth and it is quite bitter too. Actually finishes really well. A little watery. But the hop flavour ends up being pretty damn tasty. Mandarin and blood orange flavour. Worth spending a little bit of time with.

Cask at Willow Walk. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is subdued...toasty grain, earth, rivita and a hint of dried florals. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasty grain, biscuity malt, pithy citrus, lemon zest, earth with a short, dry finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Basic and weak.
