Bright, no head, light amber, lactic with berryish, floral hops...and a hint note! On the palate nice lactic and berryish hop bitterness. Currants. Spruce! Love it. Works really well.

Sample at What The Funk!? on 10/04/2017. Cloudy golden color with a medium thin white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of stone fruit, pine and funky yeast. Light to medium body with flavors of funky fruit, spruce, yeast and malt. The finish is funky and piney with a fruity aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Boston CBC: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is lightly funky, and some pine. Taste is funky and vaguely piny. Not a huge amount though. Not bad.

750ml bottle thanks to Keith. Opened with a pop and down goes half the bottle. Pours out a hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is Brett nice hit of fruit and some stone fruit. Taste is more of the nice hops a little bitter sour notes.

On tap at Arizona Wilderness, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma bring a out the spruce tips upfront, followed by citrus tartness and some lacto. Flavour is likewise unusual, with tons of piney spruce tips upfront, without being earthy / dirty, followed by medium citrus tartness and light lacto on the finish. I don't usually like spruce in beers, but this is admittedly an excretion - very good.

Beavertown Spectrum Fest. Keg. Lightly hazy pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry with modest fine carbonation. Light malts. Touches of lime and mild sherbet. Mild lactose. Lightly salty finish. Not that piney!

On tap at the brewpub where the beer pours with a slightly hazy deep gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, some grapefruit like hops and a soured sort of citrus note. The taste delivers round smooth sour notes rolling into a big grapefruit hoppiness that has tons of flavor and firm citrus hop bitterness. It stays full of citrus hops and modest sour to tart notes right into the finish. This is yet another refreshing summertime gem from Wilderness.
