Bottle thanks to Leighton. Translucent yellow straw coloured pout with a fine white head. Aroma is odd wheaty, tangy custard, apple, spicy fruit, apricot and saision yeast. Flavour is composed of wheaty, banana. Sweet. Earthy, palate is spritzy. Sweet banana bread. OK. A bit rough round the edges.

Bottle. Pours with a mostly clear pale golden hued body with a medium to medium small off-white head that fades. Aromas are of cantaloupe, melon, candied apple esters, earthy cobwebs, some bubblegum, dried apricot. Fruit forward, almost slightly rotten aroma. Mild malt light phenols of black pepper and sage. Flavors show some sharpness, odd higher alcohols, fruity, low acidity, black pepper. Light mustiness. Fuller bodied (without being sweet) with somewhat sharp carbonation. Yeasty to slightly autylosized flavors. Very little hop presence.

New Beer Distributors, NYC 375ml: Pours orange with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is sugar, light fruitiness, and Belgian yeast. Taste is sweet with a dry and bitter finish. It might be a little too sweet for a saison in my book. The hops and the yeast are, however, pretty nice. The yeast is the best part, but I would have liked a different malt profile.

Horse blanket, cracked pepper, lemon peel, a touch of Brett. Great depth in nose. Slightly sweeter than usual malt backbone but great depth. The moutj show some acidity. Could be a bit drier, but very authentic and a surprising beer. Gf found this at Wallys in L.A.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, labeled as 6% ABV. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy bright golden color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness and bready tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, wheat, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice saison style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Sample at the taproom. The beer pours a hazy dark yellow color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, malt and yeast. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal yeast, fruit and doughy malt. The finish is fruity up front with a floral yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.
