Can. Light caramel malt and dusty hops aroma. Hazy amber with a moderate yellowed ivory head. Caramel malt and light grassy flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation.

Slightly hazed amber with a short, light tan head. Caramel, grassy aroma. Taste is slightly hoppy....earthy, bitter, toffee. A bit tea-like. Not bad.

Bottle. Lactic toffee malt and hay aroma. Amber with moderate head. Mildly sweet toffee barley malt and lightly bitter hay flavor. Light - not bad though.

Draught at Wynkoop as part of a flight, visited on October 7, 2012Clear copper color, off-white head. Malty, sweet, butterscotch scent. Malty, butterscotch, sweet taste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium dry bitterness.

Tap @ Wynkoop, Denver. Pours warm deep orange golden, no head. Aroma of malt, flowery, grassy hops, light fruity. Taste is malt, caramel, grass, ripe apples, plastic. Medium body, no carbonation. Feels dead in my mouth. 040312

Pour is a cloudy tan with a small white head. Aroma is bready malts. Flavor is bready malts with a slight lingering hop. Just ok but nothing great.

The sign had it as Railroad Ale (I think). Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber. Malty aroma. Roast malt and some mild hop for flavor.

Picked up a can of this in a mix-a-six - what do you get when you brew an OFest with ale yeast? - apparently, you get an amber ale, because that’s what this tastes like - not a bad amber ale, though, just a wee bit boring, as most amber ales tend to be - some bready malt and cereal grains eventually make way for some drier malt character that compliments the eventual hop bite at the end - refreshing, medium-bodied - fairly clean - no discernible flaws; it’s just boring.
