Bottle 33 cl. Grisen, Oslo. Black with a large light brown head. Aroma of hops and chocolate. Light bitter, light sweet with a soft hop end.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Narvik. Black with a tan head. Aroma of grapefruit, licorice, some hops and chocolate. Similar taste. Medium body and bitterness.

Flaske (batch 093, brygget 030316) fra helsekosten på Kvaddå, hjemme: nesten helt svart med flott skum som varer til bunns i mitt Durham-glass. Røstet aroma og smak med granskudd, furunål, grapefrukt og hint av mørkbrent kaffe. Slank og nesten for lett å helle innpå, vitamininnholdet tatt i betraktning.

Svart med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter mørk sjokolade, kakaopulver og noe nøtter. Middels fylde. Sjokolade og kaffebitter. Noe salt lakris.

Patricks 030516. Dark brown colour with beige head.Aroma is roasted malt, hop, pine, chocolate. Flavour is hop, pine, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee. Easy drinkable nice beer.

Draught@SOPP Helsinki 2016. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is floral, liquorice, some alcohol as well as some fruity ntoes. Flavour is fruity, ripe fruits, some liquorice, vanilla, alcohol and mild ashes and nutty notes. Nice wooden finish to it.

0.33l bottle. No batch number. In the glass this is a deep and dark brown colored one, on the top there's a medium sized somewhat lasting and mildly lacing dark beige head. The nose gives me nice tones of cold coffee soft licorice, nuts, darker malts and leather. A little saltiness also detected. I really have to say that it smells quite good actually. Tastes pretty darn good this! It's well roasted with again lots and lots of cold dark coffeehouse. It has leather and dark types of malts in the taste also. In the mouth it's nice and oily and it's just above average on the bubbles. Perhaps a tad too much but not disturbing. It has a mild tannin dryness, mild earth nutty in the finish and I get a good hoppy bite in he aftertaste. A fair amount of flavor in this one. Didn't mind it at all. 29.08.2015

On tap at Patrick’s. It’s a black one, topped by a finger thick beige head. Some lacing. Rather roasted aroma with some coffee and a hint of pine cones. The flavor has a nice bitterness, mostly of the hoppy kind. Some roasted bitterness too. Coffee, roasted malts, some dark chocolate and a nice hoppyness. It’s full bodied and rather dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Lasting roasted, bitter and piney finish. Nice indeed. 160515

Tap @ Patricks. Black body with a nice, dense, lacing tan head. Aroma has dark malt, pine, some fruit and hint of vanilla (suspect the vanilla to come from the glass washing at Patricks). Flavor is relatively mild and moderate roasted dark malt, fruity and piny hops and medium bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste that’s end both sweet and a bit dry somehow. Decent BIPA, but feels a bit straight forward, miss the little extra here.
