Big Bottle share at Craft Islington. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, some dark malt cream. Tangy dark malts. A little emulsion paint, not too annoying. Dark chocolate and tangy dark fruits. Light dry alcohol spicy finish. Not bad.

Bottle at Craft Islington share, big thanks to Leighton. It pours darkest brown with a medium light tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malts, umami, charred wood, tangy fruits, rocky road, cacao nibs and burnt tires. The taste is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malts, rocky road, earth, boozy alcohol, chewy malt, some funk, charred wood and a touch of burnt plastic. Medium - full body and fine, foamy carbonation. Good fun, but the slightly burnt notes I get put me off a touch.

750 ml bottle shared by Willrunforbeer. Release number 3, July 2015. Pitch black with some tan head head that dies fast. Aroma is mild barrel notes, spice and brownie batter.

The flavor has a mild brownie batter with a mild bourbon treatment. Well the bourbon really adds to the base. Mouthfeel is pretty nice and full, smooth mouthfeel.

750 mL bottle, brewed July 2015, drunk 11/28/15.
Very deep ebony, opaque, with a dark tan head that slowly fades to cover.
Smells very boozey, with light nail polish and dark chocolate. Prunes, vanilla, pepper.
Wow, graham crackers, toasty malts, milk chocolate, and long bourbon notes. Dry but richly malted. None of the glue from the nose. Much more well produced than darkling. Ash, roast, vanilla lingering. Nice, tight carbonation. Lightly chewy but drinkable, in a sense.
