Taster on Black Christmas #7. Appearance: very dark brown. Aroma: lots of coffee with some coconut. Taste: along the same lines, a bit boozy, fudge. Overall: pretty nice.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, large brown creamy head, dissipates slowly with great lacing. Aroma is very roasty, ashtray, burnt, molasses, hints of smoke. Flavor is light plus sweet, fully bitter, dark dark roast, coffee grounds, tobacco, molasses, light acidity and smoky notes again. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Nice.

Really heavy. Lots of flavor. Sediment on the bottom. Roasty. Smells boozy, though doesn't taste it.

Re-rate 6/17: Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Alon. Black, brown head. Roast, coffee, dark chocolate, soy sauce, slightly sweetish, bitterish, umami, sourish, boozy. Too boozy, but way better than last time. 7/3/7/3/13=3.3
[2/7/17] Draught at Other Half Brewing in New York City. Muddy brown. Chocolate, yeast, sweetish-sourish, astringent, yeast sludge mouthfeel, kinda sand-like. Not good at all. 6/2/5/1/10=2.4

Draught @ the source, this batch is 11%. Opaque dark brown with small foamy beige head, coffee aroma, medium carbonation, mocha-bitter chocolate taste laced with strong, throat-burning alcohol, somewhat thick body, long bitter chocolate finish with some alcohol aftertaste. The strong alcohol content is a bit too obvious.

At the source: pours black with a white head. Aroma is chocolate, light hops, coffee, roasted malts. Taste is large with roasted malts... powerful hoppiness. Lots of coffee and some chocolate. Powerful and complex.
