Can at home, 29/06/18 Almost clear golden orange with a modest white cap that soon clears. Nose is sweet apple, caramel, papery notes, grains. Taste comprises apple pulp, sugars, grains, sweet bite, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair ... just tastes of mass / cheap production.

Can from the Coop, I think. Appearance - golden with steady bubbles. Nose - light apple sauce, but slightly synthetic. Taste - sweet toffee apple. Palate - close to medium bodied, sweet through the middle and finish. Overall - very weird when it comes to expected cider notes. Nah!

Can from Sainsburys. Deep gold in colour, with slight fizziness. Aroma of musty apple juice with a hint of spice. Flavour had some medium dry fruit, before some stewed apple in the finish. The alcohol was well hidden. Ok.

330ml can. Clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet apples, woody, tannins, floral, alochol. Taste is sweet, ripe apples, woody, light tart, alcohol is evident, slight warming in the throat. Light-medium body. Not bad but boozier than I like for a cider.

Can at home picked up from local Sainsbury’s . A clear mid golden coloured pour a fading fizz. Aroma is sweet woody fruits, bit of chessy Parmesan whiff that fades, some alcohol on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of sweet and tangy apple, woody finish, metalic pencil end, bark. Palate is medium bodied, little solvent, highish carbonation, sweet to drying finish.

Can (Aldi). Gold, mousse is gone as you stop pouring. Heavy aroma of sweet apples, vanilla. Some cooked mush but not much. Fumey at first but seems to clear. Not as sweet as threatened with some skin and a little acidity. Dries out a little. OK, quite good if they’re really using only eating apples. Very well priced ($A20 a dozen) for Australia.

Can from Tesco and drunk on a train . Some proper cider apple aroma. Abv is a litte obvious in the mouth some more apple cider character. Not awful but a little obvious on the alcohol. Had a lot worse. Ok.
