Bottle thanks, to Colin. It pours black with a medium bite head. The aroma is sweet, creamy, sweet roasted malts, milk, creamy vanilla milkshake and toffee. The taste is smooth, creamy roast, toast, bitter roast, earth, ashy, coffee grounds and spice with a dry, roasted finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. A fairly standard sweet stout. Ok.

Bottle, picked up from the farm shop, split at Level 42 - 24/05/16. Dark mahogany brown with a decent off white cap. Nose is baking powder, cocoa rub, light spice, roast malt, trace of fruit. Taste comprises light charr, spice, biscuit, cocoa notes, dark fruit esters, faint lactic swizzle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough stout.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Tuckerโ€™s Maltings Beer Festival, 15/4/2016. Near black in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Aroma of milk chocolate with a slight lactose tang. Flavour of toasty malts and more sweet chocolate, leading to a gentle finish. Very good.
