[On tap at the Belle Vue, High Wycombe] My first perry, so not exactly sure what to expect. It pours a very pale cloudy gold with distrubing hints of green. Taste of old rotten apples at first, but hints of tough pear skin come through. Some spiciness in the throat. Dry finish is ruined by a lasting aftertaste of vinegar. On the basis of this I don’t think I want to try any more perries...

From the barrel at the Bitter End Off Licence, Bromley. Drank during England’s dismal World Cup performance against Germany. Cloudy yellow pour. Sweet pear aromas with a bit of baked apple and some sourness. Flavours of pear drops and a splash of citrus. Sweet, fruity finish.

Bottled. An unclear green-yellow perry with a thin white head. The aroma is very powerful of rotten prunes and a bit of pear. The flavor is sweet with notes of pears, rhum, and over ripe almonst rotten prunes, leading to a sweet finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours cloudy and completely opaque milky pale yellow with a tiny white head. Very odd aroma - more like pineapple. Medium body, vague pear notes but dominated by acetone. Appears rotten. Sweet Jesus.... 230310
